Car into house at Pennington

Police and emergency services were called to the intersection of Addison Road and Gill Street, Pennington just after 2pm on Thursday 30 July by reports of a crash.

A Toyota van went through the T-junction intersection and crashed through a fence, then into a parked car and the side of a house.

An occupant of the house, a man aged in his 80s, sustained minor injuries in the collision.  He did not require treatment by paramedics.

The driver of the van, a 34-year-old Pennington man, was not injured in the crash.  He was reported for driving without due care and will be summonsed to appear in court at a later date.

Both the van and the parked Mazda had to be towed from the scene.
