Three people have been arrested after a pursuit that started in the early hours of this morning.
It will be alleged that just after midnight, police were called to a house in Dixie Court, Happy Valley after reports that a group of people had forced their way into the victim’s home.
The victim and her boyfriend were not confronted by the suspects, who damaged the property before stealing a grey Volkswagen hatchback and a Honda motorcycle.
The two victims were not injured.
The bike was later recovered on Main South Road at Happy Valley.
Patrols spotted the Volkswagen travelling north on Main South Road at O’Halloran Hill. The car was pursued briefly before PolAir was called in to follow the vehicle.
The Volkswagen then headed west and through the Glenelg area, then towards the city on Anzac Highway then back on to South Road to travel north.
The car was tracked all the way out to the northern suburbs, with road spikes used on Martins Road at Parafield Gardens to help stop the car.
It was dumped nearby in Chesser Street with all three suspects arrested.
A 26-year-old man from Salisbury, a 23-year-old man from Parafield Gardens and a 26-year-old woman from Munno Para West have been charged with numerous offences including aggravated serious criminal trespass, theft and driving dangerously to escape a police pursuit.
All three were refused bail and will appear in the Elizabeth Magistrates Court today.
