Police arrest Torrens Park assault suspect on bus

Police were called to the shopping centre on Belair Road, Torrens Park about 4.15pm on Monday 19 May by reports a man was behaving aggressively and had punched a man.

The victim, a 52-year-old man, did not required medical treatment.

Witnesses provided a detailed description and location of the suspect as he fled on a bus.

Police tracked down the bus and arrested the suspect on University Drive, Bedford Park just before 5pm.

The 37-year-old man was charged with assault and disorderly behaviour.

He was bailed to appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court on 8 July.

Police thank the members of the public who provided timely information that assisted in tracking down the suspect.
