Southern District police will allege a man was in possession of a knife at Edwardstown.
About 11.45pm on Sunday 2 August, police were called to a railway station on Furness Street to reports of a suspect in possession of a knife.
Police were quickly in attendance observing the suspect on the train platform where he walked off from police.
Police stopped the suspect nearby where he was arrested and it will be alleged a knife was located nearby.
The 59-year-old man from Oaklands Park was charged with carry an offensive weapon and disorderly behaviour.
His bail has been refused, and he is expected to appear in the Adelaide Magistrates court later today.
