E-bike rider arrested at Moana

A teenager has been arrested after police located two e-bike riders involved in anti-social behaviour in the southern suburbs.

Just after 11pm on Thursday 11 September, Southern District police were conducting patrols when officers located two youths riding e-bikes on the Esplanade at Moana.

It will be alleged both riders, who were wearing full-face balaclavas, rode towards an officer at speed and failed to stop when directed.

One rider evaded police, however the second rider was stopped and arrested.

A 14-year-old southern suburbs boy was charged with, carry article of disguise, property damage and driving offences relating to the e-bike modified to have a throttle.

The e-bike was impounded and investigations are continuing to locate the other rider.

The boy was bailed to appear in the Adelaide Youth Court at a later date.
