Southern District police are seeking public assistance as they investigate a series of thefts in the southern and northern suburbs.
In the early hours of Sunday 7 June, a white Nissan ute (pictured) was involved in the theft of a trailer from a business on Somerset Circuit, Lonsdale.
The vehicle is believed to be connected to several other trailer thefts that occurred throughout April and May.
The vehicle is described as a white single-cab Nissan Patrol 4WD ute with a flatbed tray. It features a white roll bar at the cab end, a ‘bird catcher’ visor above the windscreen and a bonnet scoop. It is also fitted with an exhaust snorkel on the passenger side, a black roof tray, a nudge bar with spotlights, and a UHF aerial mounted at the front.
Police believe the distinctive appearance and modifications of this vehicle mean someone may recognise it and be able to identify those responsible.
