Significant drug seizure at Paralowie

At 8.30pm Saturday 26 September, officers from the Northern District CIB were conducting investigations at a Paralowie address when they searched two men and the vehicle they arrived in.

A 43-year-old man from Paralowie was found to be in possession of a small amount of GHB and methamphetamine.

A 34-year-old man from Kidman Park was found to be in possession of methamphetamine.

When officers searched the vehicle, they located approximately 300 grams of methamphetamine, together with a selection of prescription medications.

Both men were arrested and have been charged with possession of a commercial quantity of a controlled drug.

They have been refused bail and will appear before the Elizabeth Magistrates Court on Monday 28 September.

The vehicle was towed from the scene.

Detective Chief Inspector David Huddy, Acting Officer in Charge Northern District, said this was the second significant drug seizure in South Australia in the past 48 hours.

“Every seizure of illicit drugs helps make our community safer by preventing these substances from reaching the hands of offenders and causing harm to individuals, families and the broader community,” he said.
