Speeder stopped at Monash

A man has been arrested after being stopped by police while he was speeding and drink driving.

About 5.15pm on Sunday 31 May, police were conducting speed detection duties on the Sturt Highway when they detected a Toyota utility travelling 91km/h in an 80km/h zone.

It will be alleged when the driver was submitted to a driver test, he returned a positive result of 0.066.

It will further be alleged he tested positive to methamphetamine and checks on his licence showed he was disqualified.

The driver a 46-year-old man from Paringa was arrested and charged with drink driving and drive disqualified.

He was bailed to appear in the Berri Magistrates Court on the 1 July.
