UPDATE: Roads reopen after serious crash at Barmera

A car and truck collided on the Sturt Highway at Barmera, near Nookamka Terrace, just before 7.15am on Tuesday 21 July.

The truck rolled and blocked the highway in both directions.  A light pole was also knocked down.  SA Power Networks attended the scene.

The driver of the Nissan sedan, a 41-year-old Lyrup man, was taken to hospital by ambulance with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

The truck driver, a 25-year-old man, was not injured in the crash.

The Nissan was towed from the scene, along with the truck and its trailer.
