A man has died after a crash at Eight Mile Creek this morning.
About 6.40am on Monday 29 June, police and emergency services were called to Galpins Road after reports that an LDV van had collided with a pedestrian.
The pedestrian, a 70-year-old man from overseas, sadly died at the scene.
Major Crash officers attended the scene to examine the circumstances of the collision.
The driver of the van, a 31-year-old Port Macdonnell man is assisting police with their enquiries.
Road closures were in place at the intersection of Galpins Road and Eight Mile Creek Road, and also at the intersection of Galpins Road and Peacocks Road. All roads were reopened just after 6pm this evening.
The man’s death is the 57th life lost on SA roads this year.
