Four drug drivers have been stopped by Police over the weekend.

About 12.50pm on Saturday 23 May, police stopped a Ford SUV on the Riddoch Highway, Mount Schank and submitted the driver a 34-year- old woman from Mount Gambier to a roadside drug test. It will be alleged she returned a positive result to methamphetamine and cannabis.

Checks on the car revealed it was unregistered and uninsured.

The driver was issued an expiation notice for driving an unregistered and uninsured motor vehicle, issued a three-month instant loss of licence notice and will be summonsed to appear in court at a later date.

About 9.50pm on Saturday 23 May, police stopped a Mitsubishi 4WD on Country Club Road, Lucindale. The driver a 48-year-old local man was submitted to a roadside drug test. It will be alleged the driver returned a positive result to methamphetamine. The driver was issued a three-month instant loss of licence notice and issued and expiation notice.

About 1.25pm on Sunday 24 May, police stopped a Ford station wagon on Jenkins Terrace, Naracoorte for the purpose of a roadside drug test. It will be alleged the driver a 26-year-old local man returned a positive result to cannabis.

The driver will be issued a three-month instant loss of licence and expiation notice.

At about 9am Monday 25 May a 45-year-old Mount Gambier woman was stopped by police while driving on the Princes Highway, Tantanoola. The driver was submitted to a roadside drug test where it will be alleged she returned a positive result to methamphetamine.

She will receive a fine and a three-month instant loss of licence notice.
