Weapons uncovered during Adelaide Hills traffic stop

27 Aug 2026 6:58am

A man will face court after police allegedly found prohibited weapons in his vehicle at Mount Barker.

Just before 2am on Thursday 27 August, Mount Barker patrols stopped a Mitsubishi ute on Dutton Road, Mount Barker.

It will be alleged that while speaking with the driver, officers noticed an extendable baton tucked beside the driver's seat.

Police searched the vehicle and allegedly located a second extendable baton and a set of knuckle dusters.

The driver, a 43-year-old Lobethal man, was reported for possessing prohibited weapons and will be summonsed to appear in the Mount Barker Magistrates Court at a later date.
