A provisional driver has been reported for excessive speed after being detected travelling 54km/h over the speed limit at Dry Creek.
About 8.45pm on Saturday 10 October, a motorcycle traffic officer detected a Hyundai sedan travelling at 144km/h in a 90km/h zone on the Port River Expressway, Dry Creek.
Police stopped the vehicle and spoke with the driver, a 19-year-old Blair Athol man. Checks revealed he was the holder of a provisional licence.
He was reported for aggravated excessive speed, breaching his provisional licence and issued with an instant loss of licence for six months.
His Hyundai sedan was defected and impounded for 28 days.
