Driver arrested after crash at Campbelltown

A driver has been arrested after an investigation into a crash at Campbelltown on Wednesday night.

Emergency services were called to the intersection of Newton Road and Montacute Road, Campbelltown just before 10.30pm on Wednesday 3 June.

Two cars collided at the intersection, with one of the vehicles impacting the other driver’s side door.

One of the drivers, a 62-year-old Glenside man, sustained life-threatening injuries and remains in hospital in a critical condition.

The other driver, a 79-year-old Athelstone man, was not injured in the crash.

Following investigations by Major Crash officers he was arrested and charged with causing harm by dangerous driving.

He has been issued with an immediate loss of licence and has been bailed to appear at Adelaide Magistrates Court on 28 July.
