UPDATE: Death at Coober Pedy not suspicious

Just before 9.30am on Thursday 10 September, police were called to an open cut mine just south of the township of Coober Pedy after a man’s body was located.

Coober Pedy Police, along with Major Crime detectives and Forensic Response officers attended the scene.

Following a post mortem today (Friday 11 September), the death of the 36-year-old local man has been deemed non-suspicious.

Police will be preparing a report for the Coroner.
