Arrest after Port Augusta break-in

A man has been arrested after a break-in at Port Augusta.

It will be alleged that sometime between 8 April and 14 May, an Apple laptop computer and cash were stolen from a house in William Street.

Crime Scene officers examined the scene of the break-in.

After further investigation, police identified a suspect and on Wednesday 24 June officers located the man in Port Augusta.

The 44-year-old local man was charged with serious criminal trespass, theft and possess cannabis after a small amount was found in his possession.

He was bailed to appear in the Port Augusta Magistrates Court on 27 July.
