Driver reported after DUI in Port Lincoln

A man has lost his licence after being caught driving under the influence at Port Lincoln.

About 10.30pm on Sunday 19 July, police stopped a Toyota Land Cruiser on St Andrews Terrace.

The driver underwent a breath test which returned a positive reading of 0.096. He also underwent a driver screening test which returned a positive result for cocaine.

The 27-year-old local man was reported for drink-driving and drug-driving, he was issued a six-month immediate loss of licence notice and his car was impounded for 28 days.

He will be summonsed to appear in court at a later date.
