24 Apr 2025 2:55pm

Whyalla Police have recovered one motorcycle and made an arrest following investigations into a shed break-in.

Sometime between Sunday 20 April and Tuesday 22 April, unknown persons have entered a rear shed via a roller door and stole a red Honda CRF250R motorbike and a green Kawasaki KLX300R motorbike.

On Tuesday 22 April a member of the public reported seeing a man riding a green Kawasaki motorcycle on Thomas Street in Whyalla Stuart. Police suspect this may be the same motorcycle stolen from the break-in.

The man is described as being of Caucasian appearance, wearing a black jumper with a white logo on the left sleeve, white shoes, blue denim jeans, and wearing a dark coloured helmet.

Today, Thursday 24 April, Whyalla Police arrested a 34-year-old Whyalla Playford man and charged him with theft by receiving.

He was bailed to appear in the Whyalla Magistrates Court on 27 May.

Officers also recovered the stolen green Kawasaki motorcycle.

The red Honda motorcycle is still outstanding and investigations into the break-in are continuing.

Anyone who has information on the whereabouts of the red Honda motorbike is asked to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or online at www.crimestopperssa.com.au
