A driver has blown over three times the limit after crashing into a tree in North Adelaide.
About 11pm on Saturday 3 October police were called to Prospect Road at North Adelaide following reports a Toyota had collided with a median strip and into a tree.
Police spoke with the driver and submitted him to a breath test which allegedly returned a positive result of 0.174, over three times the legal blood alcohol limit.
The 51-year-old driver was reported for drink driving, issued a 12 month loss of licence and his car impounded.
He will be summonsed to appear in the Magistrates Court at a later date.
