About 10.50 am, Wednesday 22 April, Ceduna patrols stopped a Nissan sedan on Merghiny Drive and observed the driver was not wearing a seatbelt.
The driver was submitted to a breath test which returned a positive result of 0.256, over four times the legal limit.
Further checks revealed the driver did not have a current drivers licence and the vehicle was unregistered.
The 53-year-old local man was reported for drink driving, driving without a licence, driving an unregistered vehicle and not wearing a seatbelt.
He was issued a 12-month loss of licence and his vehicle impounded. He will be summonsed to appear in the Magistrates Court at a later date.
