Trespassers busted near Gawler

Two men have been arrested after allegedly trespassing at a business premises near Gawler.

Just before 8pm on Saturday 5 September, police responded to an auto wrecker business on Main North Road, Evanston South, following reports of two suspects trespassing in the yard.

Local patrols cordoned off the premises while Police Dog Bandit and his handler entered to search for the offenders.

PD Bandit located and confronted the men inside the yard. One man surrendered to police, while the second fled on foot.

Following a 45-minute search, PD Edge located the second man hiding inside a wrecked vehicle on the property, where he was arrested without incident.

The two 25-year-old men from Gawler East were both charged with unlawfully being on premises and illegal interference of a motor vehicle

They were both bailed to appear in the Elizabeth Magistrates Court on 14 October.
