Serious crash on Sturt Highway

Just before 2am Saturday 23 August, police responded to reports of a crash between a truck and a van.

The driver of the van, a 25-year-old man from Nuriootpa and his passenger, a 22-year-old man, also from Nuriootpa, were taken to hospital with non life-threatening injuries.

The truck driver, a 40-year-old Kensington Park man, was uninjured.

Both vehicles were towed from the scene.

The highway was closed for some time but has since reopened in both directions.

Investigation into the crash is ongoing.
