Supporting our South Australian police community

The South Australian police family has been shaken by tragic incidents in the past few days and the whole state is sharing in their grief.

The outpouring of condolences and support is a testament to the respect and gratitude the South Australian community has for our first responders.

The many messages of sympathy and support have been heartfelt and have given the police family some solace in these challenging times.

Along with the messages of support, public sector staff - and members of the South Australian community more broadly - may also wish to make a donation. Those wanting to make a contribution to support police officers and their families can do so through SA Police Legacy, a charity that supports South Australian police families by offering financial, emotional and social support to those affected by bereavement or serious illness.

All donations, big or small, make a difference. There are several ways to donate:

  • Online
  • In person at a Police Credit Union branch
  • With a cheque via post
  • Via direct bank deposit:
    • SA Police Legacy
BSB No: 805 005 (Police Credit Union)
      Account No: 5125831
      Reference – (your name)

You can find out more about SA Police Legacy on their website.

Additionally, condolence books will this week be placed at the following police stations for those wanting to pay further respects:

  • Christies Beach
