Drink driver crashes into Beverley property

Just after 11.15 last night, police were called to Ledger Road after reports a Kia station wagon crashed into the front of a unit causing significant damage.

Fortunately nobody was in the unit at the time and MFS were able to secure the structure.

The driver, a 34-year-old Marden man, was tested and returned a blood alcohol reading of 0.101.

The man was reported for drink driving, issued with a six month immediate loss of licence notice and the car was towed from the scene.

The man will be summonsed to appear in court at a later date.
