Aggravated robbery at St Clair

Police are investigating an aggravated robbery and assault that occurred at St Clair last night.

Just after 10pm on Sunday 17 May, police were called to Torrens Road following reports a man had been assaulted in a car park.

It is alleged a group of four or five men, wearing dark clothing and face coverings, approached the victim and assaulted him before stealing a gold chain and fleeing the scene in a car.

The victim, a 41-year-old man from St Clair, sustained non-life threatening injuries and was taken to hospital for treatment.

Investigations into the matter are ongoing.
