Fatal crash at Lewiston

A driver died in a single-vehicle crash at Lewiston last night.

About 8.50pm on Thursday 24 September, police and paramedics responded to a crash on Gawler River Road, Lewiston after a Holden sedan collided with a tree.

Sadly, the driver and sole occupant, a 24-year-old man from Queenstown, died at the scene.

Gawler River Road was closed between Boundary Road and Roberts Road while Major Crash Investigators examined the scene.

The road was reopened about 3.30am on Friday 25 September.

The man's death is the 83rd life lost on SA roads this year.
