Extreme speeder caught in the western suburbs

8 Nov 2026 1:24pm

A man has lost his licence for a year after he was caught speeding at Tennyson.

About 7.30pm on Saturday 7 November, police were conducting speed detection duties on Military Road when they recorded a silver Holden sedan travelling at 138km/h in a 60km/h zone.

The driver, a 53-year-old Richmond man was reported for aggravated driving at an extreme speed (the aggravating factor was that there were two passengers in the car), he was issued with a 12-month immediate loss of licence notice and the vehicle was impounded for 28 days.

The driver will be summonsed to appear in court at a later date.
