A teenager has been arrested for driving at an extreme speed at Salisbury East yesterday afternoon.
Just after 4pm on Sunday 12 July, a Mercedes sedan was detected by a mobile traffic camera on Clayson Road travelling at 107km/h in a 50 km/h speed zone.
Road Policing officers attended the registered owner's home address at Salisbury North and located the vehicle involved.
The alleged driver, a 17-year-old boy and provisional licence holder, was subsequently arrested.
The teenager was charged with aggravated extreme speed, speed dangerous and contravention of his provisional licence conditions.
He was issued with a 12-month instant loss of licence and his vehicle impounded for 28 days. He will appear in the Elizabeth Youth Court on 4 September.
