Driver reported at Campbelltown

A driver has lost his car after being stopped by police yesterday evening.

Just after 5pm on Sunday 17 May, police detected a Mercedes Benz sedan on Hancock Avenue travelling at 70 km/h in a 50 km/h zone. The car was stopped on Cresdee Road, and the driver, a 19-year-old man from Glenunga was spoken to and allegedly provided a drug test positive to cannabis.

The driver was reported for speeding, driving while disqualified, drug driving, driving an unregistered vehicle and an unrelated property damage matter.

The car was impounded for 28-days.

The driver will be summonsed to attend court at a later date
