Driver flips car at South Plympton

A driver has hit a parked car flipping onto its roof at South Plympton overnight.

Just before 10.20pm on Friday 24 July, emergency services were called to Cross Road at South Plympton following reports a gold Mazda SUV collided with a black Mazda SUV which was parked.

The collision caused the gold Mazda to flip onto its roof with MFS providing assistance to remove the single occupant from the Mazda.

The 79-year-old woman from Hove was taken to hospital for treatment of her injuries which are not believed to be life threatening.

South Road was closed for a short time whilst patrols managed the scene however has now re-opened.

Investigations are continuing into the circumstances surrounding the collision.
