Drink driver takes out light pole Salisbury

A drink driver has lost her licence after crashing into a light pole in Salisbury overnight.

Just after 6.15pm on Sunday 13 September police were called to Salisbury Highway, Salisbury after reports a Holden sedan collided into a kerb and taking out light pole.

The driver was submitted to a breath test which allegedly returned a positive result of 0.172, over three times the legal limit.

The driver, a 43-year-old woman from Elizabeth Vale was uninjured but her car was damaged and her licence taken away for 12 months.

She was also charged with drink driving and will be summonsed to appear in the Magistrates Court at a later date.
