A man was reported for drink driving after a crash at Kensington Park last night.

Just before 9pm on Sunday 19 April, police responded to a hit-run crash on Park Road after a Nissan ute collided with a Peugeot sedan. The ute driver failed to stop and continued driving back to a nearby home.

Police responded and found the vehicle with accident damage. The alleged driver was identified and when breath tested, he allegedly produced a blood alcohol reading of 0.267, more than five times the legal limit.

A 65-year-old man from Kensington Park was reported for drink driving, issued with a twelve-month instant loss of licence and his car was impounded. He will be summonsed to appear in court at a later date.
