A drink driver was reported for disorderly behaviour after police were called to an Elizabeth Park shopping centre last night.

Police were called to the car park of the shopping centre on Yorktown Road, Elizabeth Park at 7pm on Thursday 16 April by reports a customer was causing a disturbance in store and fighting with another man.

The patrol located both men in the car park, one of whom allegedly smelled strongly of alcohol and admitted he had just driven to the shops.  He recorded a blood alcohol reading of 0.180 - nearly four times the legal limit.

The 58-year-old Elizabeth Grove man was reported for drink driving and disorderly behaviour and will be summonsed to appear in court at a later date.

He was given a 12-month instant loss of licence and his vehicle was towed from the car park and impounded for 28 days.
