Arrests made after stolen car stopped in Thorngate

About 3.25am on Thursday 24 September, Western District patrols stopped a Suzuki sedan on Churcher Street.

The driver, a 19-year-old man, was roadside breath tested and returned a positive result of 0.092. Checks revealed he had never held a driver's licence and that the car had been stolen from an Adelaide address the previous night.

The driver and his two passengers, a 19-year-old woman from Hackham and a 12-year-old boy from Park Holme, were arrested. All three were charged with illegal use of a motor vehicle. The driver was also charged with drink driving and driving unlicensed.

They were bailed to attend court at a later date.

The vehicle was recovered and returned to its owner.
