Man arrested after assault at Noarlunga Downs

Police were called to a home on Dunedin Court about 10.30pm on Tuesday 16 June, after reports a woman had been assaulted by a man known to her.

The 31-year-old woman was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening head injuries.

Patrols, with the assistance of Police Dog Duke, searched the area for the suspect who had fled. He was located hiding under a bush on Liguria Court around 11.30pm.

The 29-year-old man from Iwantja (Indulkana) was arrested and charged with assault causing harm and breach of bail. He was issued with a police interim intervention order and refused police bail. He will appear in the Christies Beach Magistrates Court later today (17 June).
