Youth arrested carrying knife in Elizabeth Shopping Centre

Around 3.30pm on Tuesday 18 November, Northern District police patrolling Elizabeth Shopping Centre stopped and metal detector wand searched a 13-year-old girl under Declared Shopping Precinct powers.

It will be alleged that a 15cm kitchen knife and three vapes were found in her possession.

The 13-year-old girl was arrested and charged with carrying an offensive weapon and the vapes were seized. She was bailed to appear in Elizabeth Youth Court on 19 December.
