Trio arrested in possession of knives at Smithfield

Just before 12.30pm Friday 15 May, police were called to a store at Munno Para Shopping Centre after reports three boys had stolen a number of knives and fled the scene.

Following investigations police attended at Main North Road, Smithfield where the group were located.

Police searched the trio and located the knives.

A 13,14 and 15-year- old all from the northern suburbs were arrested and have been charged with theft and carry offensive weapon.

All have been bailed to attend the Elizabeth Youth Court on 3 July.
