A man has been arrested in the northern suburbs in relation to child sex offences.
On Thursday 21 May, a 57-year-old man from the northern suburbs was arrested for possession of child exploitation material and breaching his bail conditions.
He was charged with these offences and refused bail to appear in court today.
Detective Acting Chief Inspector Robert Plenderleith, officer in charge of the Offender Management Section says, “Viewing, possessing, or sharing child exploitation material causes severe and lasting harm. Each time this content is accessed, the child is re-victimised, deepening their trauma. Our officers are dedicated to holding offenders accountable for any actions that threaten the safety and well-being of children in the community.”
