Murraylands traffic report

About 12.30am on Saturday 18 July, police saw a vehicle collide with a fence on Commerce Drive, Murray Bridge. The 20-year-old male driver from Murray Bridge underwent a breath test and returned a positive reading of 0.174. Police issued the driver with a 12-month immediate loss of licence notice, his car was impounded for 28 days and reported the man for drink-driving. He will be summonsed to appear in Murray Bridge Magistrates Court at a later date.

About 6pm on Saturday 18 July, a 40-year-old woman from Berri was stopped by police on Owen Street, Loxton. Checks on the woman’s licence showed that she was disqualified. The woman underwent a driver screening test and returned a positive result for methamphetamine. She was reported for driving while disqualified and will be fined over driving under the influence of drugs. She will be summonsed to attend Berri Magistrates Court at a later date.

About 11pm on Saturday 18 July, a 32-year-old man Barmera was stopped by police on Fiedler Street, Berri. Checks on the man’s licence showed that he was disqualified. The man underwent a driver screening test and returned a positive result for cannabis. The driver was reported for both offences and will be summonsed to attend Berri Magistrates Court at a later date.

About 12.45am on Sunday 19 July, police stopped a 25-year-old man from Berri while he was driving on Bookpurnong Road. He underwent a breath test and returned a positive breath test result of 0.221. He received a 12-month immediate loss of licence notice and will be summonsed to appear at Berri Magistrates Court at a later date.

About 5pm on Sunday 19 July, a 23-year-old man from Morgan was stopped by police while he was driving on Murraylands Road, Blanchetown. Checks on the man’s licence showed that he was disqualified. The man also allegedly provided false personal details to police while checks were being made. The driver was reported for both offences and will be summonsed to attend Berri Magistrates Court at a later date.

Just after 12am on Monday 20 July, police arrested a 22-year-old Murray Bridge woman after she was caught driving while disqualified on Trevor Street, Murray Bridge. Her car was impounded and she was bailed to appear in Murray Bridge Magistrates Court at a later date.
