Police are investigating the theft of diesel from a property at Cooltong.
Sometime between 3 April and 4 June, approximately 4000 Litres of diesel was stolen from a farming property on Stoney Pinch Road, Cooltong. Frost fans containing 1100 litres of diesel each were accessed by cutting a fenceline.
Police encourage farm owners to put security measures in place on machinery and equipment of value such as CCTV, locks and GPS tracking devices. Regular spot checks of rural business locations can assist in deterring would-be thieves and detecting suspicious behaviour.
Anyone who sees any suspicious vehicles or activity around rural properties is urged to contact police at the time on 131 444.
