Trio arrested after Pine Hill break-in

Three people have been arrested following a break-in at Pine Hill yesterday.

Just after midnight on Wednesday 12 August, police responded to reports of intruders at a rural property at Pine Hill.

Police responded and located an interstate vehicle at the scene however a search of the local area failed to locate the suspects at this time.

Following investigations, police attended an address in Cannawigara to conduct a search and located an amount of methamphetamine along with property stolen from another break-in that occurred seven months ago.

Officers also located a gel blaster pistol in a vehicle.

The occupant, a 29-year-old woman, was arrested and charged with trafficking in a controlled drug and unlawful possession. She was bailed to appear in the Bordertown Magistrates Court on 18 December. 210035

As police were leaving the property, a second suspect was located and arrested on the roadside nearby. A 29-year-old from Queensland was charged with serious criminal trespass, possessing a firearm without a licence, property damage and theft. He was refused Police bail and will appear in the Mt Gambier Magistrates Court today.

A third suspect, a 29-year-old from Cannawigara, was arrested last night and charged with serious criminal trespass, theft and property damage. He was also wanted on an outstanding warrant. He was refused police bail and will appear in the Mt Gambier Magistrates Court today.
