Police shocked by defibrillator theft in Mount Gambier

Limestone Coast Police are investigating the theft of five defibrillators in the Mount Gambier area.

The thefts are believed to have occurred between the start of December 2025 and April this year.

The defibrillators were stolen from various tourist and community spots around Mount Gambier, including the Blue Lake/Warwar Welcome Centre, Crater Lakes area, Visitor Information Centre, McDonald Park and the City Council Office (Civic Centre).

These thefts affect the community by removing potentially life-saving devices from public access.

If you see anyone tampering with Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs) without a valid reason, please call the Police Assistance Line immediately on 131444.
