Pair arrested for theft at Unley Park

Just after 8.30am on Friday 24 July, police were called to George Street after receiving reports of two men acting suspiciously. The pair appeared to be attempting to disguise themselves as tradespeople.

When patrols arrived, they found the two men within a telecommunications pit and a vehicle parked nearby which was found to contain numerous tools used to cut the copper.

This vehicle was impounded and a large quantity of tools suspected of being stolen was seized.

A 42-year-old man of no fixed address was arrested and charged with theft, property damage, driving unlicenced and breach of bail. He was refused bail to appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court today.

A 34-year-old man from Tusmore was arrested and charged with theft, property damage and unlawful possession. He was bailed to appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court on 9 September.
