Police are investigating a stabbing at Bethel near Kapunda yesterday evening.
Just after 5.30pm on Saturday 10 October, police and Paramedics were called to reports of a stabbing at an event on private property on Pine Creek Road, Bethel.
A 30-year-old Kapunda man sustained multiple stab wounds. He was treated at the scene by SA Ambulance paramedics and airlifted to hospital in a critical condition. His condition is now considered stable.
A 22-year-old Nuriootpa man was arrested at the scene by police without incident.
He was charged with attempted murder and refused police bail. It is expected he will appear in the Elizabeth Magistrates Court tomorrow, Monday 12 October.
Police wish to reassure the local community that this was not a random incident and the men involved are known to each other.
