Man reported and his car impounded after doing a burnout in front of Police

A man has been reported and his car impounded after doing a burnout in front of Police near Port Pirie yesterday.

About 4.20 pm Tuesday 24 June, police were on Hill View Drive, Coonamia when a Holden Commodore did a burnout in front of them.

Police stopped the Commodore and spoke with the driver, a 30-year-old Solomontown man.

The man was reported for misuse of a motor vehicle and his car was impounded for 28 days. He will be summoned to attend Port Pirie Magistrates Court at a later date.

Yorke Mid North Police remind the public that drivers face being reported or arrested, and their cars impounded if caught driving in a dangerous or inappropriate manner. Police have no tolerance to this manner of driving, putting themselves or others at risk.
