Man arrested at Glenelg charged with numerous offences

A man has been arrested after he was found in possession of house breaking implements at Glenelg yesterday.

At 2.30am Wednesday 5 November a 39-year-old man from Novar Gardens was stopped by police on Anzac Highway in possession of housebreaking implements and a prohibited weapon.

The man was arrested and charged with going equipped, possess prohibited weapon and breach of bail.

Western District Volume Crime Section had been investigating a crime series of break-ins to business premises between 16 September and 4 November.

When police searched the arrested mans home, they located items stolen during the break-ins.

The suspect was further charged with 4 counts of serious criminal trespass, 4 counts of theft, 4 counts of breach of bail and possession of a dangerous article.

Investigations are continuing.

The male did not apply for bail and will appear in Adelaide Magistrates Court today 6 November.
