A drink driver has been arrested after crashing into a house and driving off at Marion.
About 5.35pm on Sunday 1 November, police were called to Finniss Street at Marion following reports an MG hatchback collided with the front of a house and left the scene.
Patrols were quick to the area and located the MG nearby where the driver was submitted to a breath test which allegedly returned a positive result of 0.174, over three times the limit.
Thankfully, there were no physical injuries to the occupant of the Finniss Street home.
The driver was arrested and charged with driving in a reckless manner, failing to stop at the scene of a crash and drink driving. He was issued a 12 month loss of licence and his car impounded for 28-days.
He did not apply for bail and will appear in the Magistrates Court on Monday 2 November.
