Car crashes into a house in Elizabeth North

A man has been arrested after crashing a car in Elizabeth North.

Just after 1am today Wednesday 3 September, police and emergency services were called to Homington Road after a Mitsubishi sedan collided with a house.

It will be alleged the car was hoon driving and lost control just before the crash.

The impact of the collision brought down a wall at the home temporarily trapping the occupant.

The occupant was treated at the scene by SA Ambulance for minor injuries and was conveyed to hospital.

It was reported to police the Mitsubishi fled the scene.

Police searched the area locating the Mitsubishi in a nearby side street.

The driver a 19-year-old man from Elizabeth North was arrested and charged with numerous offences including cause harm by dangerous driving and leave the scene of an accident.

He was bailed to appear in the Elizabeth Magistrates Court on the 14 October.
