Update II - Fatal crash at Elizabeth Vale

Just before 3pm on Monday 25 August, police and emergency services were called to Oldham Road after reports a Hyundai sedan collided with a pedestrian who was waiting at a bus stop.

Tragically the pedestrian, a 62-year-old woman from Craigmore, died at the scene.

The driver of the Hyundai, an 84-year-old man from Davoren Park, sustained minor injuries and was taken to hospital for treatment.

Major Crash officers attended the scene to examine the circumstances surrounding the crash.

The road was closed for several hours but has since reopened.
