Fatal crash at Salisbury

Police are investigating a fatal crash at Salisbury this morning.

About 6.30am on Tuesday 29 July, police and emergency services were called to the intersection of Park Terrace and the Salisbury Highway after reports of a crash involving a truck and an e-scooter rider.

Sadly, the e-scooter rider, a 36-year-old Salisbury North man, died at the scene.

The truck continued driving but was located with the alleged driver at a Yatala Vale building site.

Major Crash investigators attended the scene and examined the circumstances surrounding the incident. The truck and trailer have been towed from the scene for further forensic examination and inspection by MCIS mechanics.

The truck driver, a 23-year-old Mount Torrens man, is assisting Major Crash investigators.

The intersection was shut down while police remained at the scene however roads reopened just after 1.30pm.

Investigations are continuing.

The man's death is 69th life lost on South Australian roads so far this year.
